…are available with Comfort Home Health Care. A nurse
will discuss the details of financial arrangements during the initial
visit.
Medicare
This federal program
covers 100% of the cost of nursing, rehabilitative therapies and aide
services for qualifying individuals. In order to qualify for the
Medicare Homecare benefit a client must be homebound and require a
skilled nursing or therapy service. A nurse from Comfort Home Health
Care can help determine Medicare eligibility at the time of the initial
visit.
Medicaid or Medical Assistance
This
state program covers 100% of the cost of qualifying home care services
for people without the financial resources to pay. A county financial
worker will determine eligibility for Medical Assistance based on asset
and income guidelines.
County Waiver Programs
County
Waiver programs were created to fill in some of the gaps in Medical
Assistance. Again, a county financial worker can help determine
eligibility for this program based on asset and income guidelines
HMO/Private Insurance
Private
insurance coverage varies depending on individual policies. Our staff
will work with the insurance company to determine coverage, investigate
co-pays or deductibles, and obtain necessary prior authorization.
